A long family history of growing Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto grapes, coupled with a deep appreciation for Barbaresco’s terroir, defines the exceptional wines of Cantina del Pino. "We make our wines from the classic Piedmontese grape varietals: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto."
The Vacca family has been tending the vineyards at Cantina del Pino—one of Barbaresco’s oldest estates—since the 1920s, when Giuseppe Vacca acquired the property from his friend, the legendary agronomist Domizio Cavazza, director of the Royal Enological School in Alba. In 1997, Cantina del Pino branched out from the renowned Produttori del Barbaresco Cooperative, embracing a philosophy of winemaking deeply rooted in respect for the land. Their gentle, hands-on approach allows the unique characteristics of Barbaresco’s soil to shine through in every bottle.
